About the Event

GiSTEM is hosting “Thinking Big 2025,” a half-day, in-person event is tailored for 400 high school students in Richmond and Petersburg to dive into the realm of technology for interactive learning outside of the classroom. Students participate in hands-on activities and workshops facilitated by professionals from various backgrounds and industries. The event is strategically designed to establish a pipeline of young talent primed for future careers with leading organizations. This year's event will focus on manufacturing in healthcare. In the next decade, the global healthcare sector is projected to experience a shortage of 10 million workers by 2030. To address the skills gap, we are working to inspire a new generation of talent capable of navigating the intersection of healthcare, manufacturing, and digital transformation.
